What this notice covers
This notice explains the email sign-up on this website (“Join the Exchange”). It is a draft. It does not yet describe a live email platform, because none is connected.
The information we ask for
Email address (required). First name (optional). Role or area of interest (optional). We also keep a record that you ticked the consent box, the wording of that box, the date and time, and whether you used the form on the homepage or in the footer.
Why we use it, and the lawful basis
We use this information to send the email updates you choose to receive news about forthcoming events, speaker announcements and selected leadership insights and to tailor them to the interests you tell us about. The lawful basis is your consent.
Email provider
To be confirmed not yet connected. Sign-ups are held in a private store on the server that runs this website. They are not shown on any public page. Until a provider is chosen and connected, we cannot send those emails, and we cannot send an unsubscribe email.
Who we share it with
The North-West Care Exchange Limited. An email provider will be a recipient once one is appointed. No provider is connected today. We do not sell the list.
Overseas processing
Depends on the chosen provider not yet connected. If the provider stores or sends mail outside the UK, we will say so in an updated notice before that processing starts.
How long we keep it
Until you withdraw consent, or until we no longer need the list for these updates. When an email platform is connected, retention will follow that platform and our instructions to it. Records of consent may be kept for as long as we need them to show that we had permission to email you.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw consent at any time. Once emails are being sent, each message will include an unsubscribe link. That link is not live yet, because no email platform is connected and this website does not send mail. Until then, email info@northwestcareexchange.co.uk and ask to be removed. We will not treat a website form as a working unsubscribe service.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, or object to certain uses. Where the processing is based on consent, or is carried out by automated means, you may also ask for the information you provided to be moved. To use these rights, email info@northwestcareexchange.co.uk.
Complaints
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your information: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Other technology on this website
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. That request includes your IP address to Google. This site does not use analytics or advertising pixels. If speaker films are later embedded from YouTube, that embed would be a further third-party request and this notice would need to say so. The contact form on the contact page does not currently send or store messages.
